Dear Warwick,

As the vibrant colours of spring bloom all around, my heart fills with the joy & hope that Easter brings. This time of year is about celebrating with family, friends, and community, and your charming streets and local businesses offer countless opportunities to create cherished memories. Let’s explore the delightful ways to celebrate Easter in your beautiful embrace!

🐥♥️ Festive Easter Events ♥️🐥

Warwick hosts a variety of festive events during the Easter season that should not be missed! Families can enjoy Easter egg hunts at St. Nicholas Park, where children can search for hidden treats and prizes in a picturesque setting. Additionally, Warwick Castle often hosts special Easter-themed events that engage visitors of all ages, filled with enchanting activities.

For a delightful experience, CJs Events offers fun-filled activities and entertainment tailored for families during the Easter period, making it a wonderful way to create lasting memories.

Let’s not forget the significance of the holiday, as many of Warwick’s historic churches, such as The Collegiate Church of St. Mary’s, where you can climb the tower for amazing views of Warwick,  St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, where J.R.Tolkien married and St Nicholas Church, just on the entrance to the park, all with beautiful Easter services and sermons that embrace the spirit of renewal and hope, inviting the community to come together in celebration.

The New Bowling Green serves up home-cooked meals, and on Easter, we maybe lucky enough to enjoy the huge garden too.  The Four Penny Hotel adds to the festive dining experience by highlighting seasonal dishes that can make any Easter meal memorable and they have a great range of beers too!

Easter is also a time for gifting and thoughtful gestures. In Warwick, you’ll find local shops full of delightful treats, just wander the streets from Smith Street and into the centre of town. 

At Present Days, you can discover an array of unique Easter gifts ranging from handcrafted items to seasonal decorations that celebrate the holiday. If sustainability is your hearts desire then try Encore Clothing Agency or peruse our local charity shops for a bargain, if you want something older then our myriad of antique stores will keep you occupied for hours.

Additionally, the Warwick Market on a Saturday and  every other Wednesday provides an eclectic mix of charming gift options, from artisan foods to art ensuring that your loved ones feel special on this joyous occasion.

🐥♥️ Easter Unwinding ♥️🐥

Easter is a great time to stretch your legs and get out into the country, walk around St Nicholas Park with a paved loop to keep your favourite shoes clean. You can glide along the river like a swan or choose a flamingo peddalo instead. Enjoy the views of Warwick Castle and explore the gardens in Mill Street. For the more adventurous you can follow the canal to the top of Hatton Flight, help the canal boats and take in the views and in the way back treat yourself to dinner and a drink on the canal side pub, The Cape of Good Hope.

Head around the new pathway on Warwick Racecourse and imagine the horses thundering by before you dash into Millennium Woods searching for spring treats. Head to Hill Close Victorian Gardens for more spring delights before you stroll back into town or perhaps grab a picnic and watch the cricket at The Warwick Sports Club.. If you’re thirsty for more pop into the Warwick Visitor Centre for a free copy of Warwick’s walks or the new Easter Trail.

If you want to unwind then, along with our fabulous country walks, try Heist House Studios for yoga or Elxir for treatments you’ll dream of for months then rest your weary head. From Pillows & Porcelain B&B with The Craftsman across the road or Park Cottage B&B and its Tudor wonders by the Castle entrance with The Castle Inn just across the road, or The Four Penny Hotel, with The Old Post Office award wining CAMRA pub of the year around the corner to The Warwick Arms in the centre of town, the oldest hotel in Warwick and where Admiral Lord Nelson would often meet Lady Emma Hamilton during their passionate affair.
